Mathieu Flamini
Wenger - Only one player is free to leave
By Richard Clarke
Arsène Wenger has brushed off suggestions his Arsenal side may start to break up over the summer.
The team's failure to land a trophy this season coupled with the manager's intention to stick with an established wage structure has ventured some to suggest there could be exits from Emirates Stadium this summer.
"No, not at all," said Wenger in response. "We have have only one player who is free, that is Mathieu Flamini. He can go where he wants but he can as well stay."
You can infer from that answer that the rest of the Arsenal squad have existing contracts and do not control their own destiny. The most speculation surrounds Alex Hleb, who is linked with a move to Inter.
"Alex Hleb has two years' contract [left]," said Wenger unequivocally. "He is not for sale."
